Pontiac Bonneville Security light Flashing

1995 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE. SECURITY LIGHT.
Question: My Car wont start and the security light on.

Answer:
This may be because of a common problem with the system. 2 wires on the back of the ignition key cylinder for the theft system tend to break so the system can't read the resistor of the pellet key. The ignition lock cylinder would need to be replaced. I will send a link to a page in our site that shows this.

2000 Pontiac Bonneville. Changing of head lights. Question: My head lights are out and they come on when they want, now my lights have gone out and i can't drive my car at night. Need some help on this electrical problem.

Answer:
Assuming you have either replaced or have good headlamp bulbs, there has to be an electrical issue affecting the headlamp operation. There is an ambient light sensor on the dashboard that detects when it is dark and automatically turns on the lights for you. If the headlamps are coming on by themselves at all different times, day or night, that sensor could be bad.

Also, you could have either the headlamp switch or Driver Integration Module (DIM) with an intermittent electrical problem that is making the lights act up. There is also a relay in the underhood fuse block for both the low beams and high beams that could be failing. If the bulbs are known good, an no obvious thing is causing your problem, you would need to get a schematic of the headlamp wiring and start checking wires for power/ground/opens/shorts.
