P0700 is sort of a generic code. It is an electrical problem with the tranmsision solenoids.
Be sure to check all fuses.
Possible faulty ignition switch not sending proper voltage to the trans connector pink wire. Should be system voltage.
Also could be a wiring problem going down to the trans., or a solenoid inside the transmission with incorrect resistance.

2002 Chevy Blazer taking forever to start

Unread post by coreywalker » Sat Mar 30, 2013 3:30 pm

i have a 2002 Chevy blazer ls with the 4.3 vortec i do not know whats wrong with it but usually on cold mornings it fires right up then my cat became plugged so i removed it and replaced with a glass pack it has been taking forever to start think it may be because of the fuel injection lines could be cracked and not holding the correct pressure? if anyone knows about the 4.3 please let me know what you think

You might want to start off by doing a fuel pressure check. You should have 55psi with the key on and it should hold steady. If the pressure drops off quickly, you can be looking at a faulty fuel pump, a bad fuel pressure regulator, or even the fuel lines inside the plenum leaking down. Any of these can cause a hard starting condition or long cranking before start up.

okay but if it hasnt been started for awhile (when its cold) it will start quicker then crap most of the time its usally after its warmd up some is when it take forever but i have a 02 sensor bad but i wouldnt think that that would cause it to start that slowly.

You have to start somewhere....do a fuel pressure check!! Try both cold and hot and see if there's a difference. And, no, a bad O2 sensor will not cause it to start hard after warm.
