Thank you for the quick response. We are still checking out
this problem, but you gave some good ideas.
Dear JK:
I recently sent in a question about my van,
Digital dash, ABS light & wouldn't shift, the problem was with a 15 amp
brake fuse that was not seating properly, after correcting
this....everything is working fine now.
Just wanted to say thanks again
Thank you for all of your help.
As you said, I tapped on the injector lightly while the engine was
running. the injector freed up after 5 taps anf I saved a lot of money.
Thank you
Ron

Thank you so much for your advice. I took my car in to
balance my tires and the vibration on the steering wheel while driving on
the highway disapeared. Thank you again. Gladys

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!! I followed your instructions and got
my radio in perfectly. Great and quick help. I would recommend you
guys anyday! Sebastian
Thank you for your reply! I was told by a local
mechanic to get under the car and bang on the CAT but
I didnt hear anything and I'm getting what seems to be
good exhaust out of the tailpipe. I think your right
tho. I'll take it to the dealership and have them
check it. I appreciate the info on the GM warranty. I
had a 1-800 number and the same policy # you gave me.
The guy told me I had a 8yr/80k of course that was
after I told him I had 84k on my car. So, I'll take
your policy number with me to the dealer. I appreciate
your help and I'll let ya know what happens!
Thanks for the help and quick response,
Jill.
OK the, guess will have to go to dealer. Thanks so much.
I HAD THE CAR TESTED AT THE MECHANIC AND IT WAS SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS THE WIRES.
THE ELDERLY WOMEN THAT PREVIOUSLY OWNED THE CAR MUST HAVE HAD THEM CHANGED
AND WHO EVER DID IT MUST HAVE FELT THEY ONLY NEEDED TO CHANGE THE WIRES THAT
THE WOMEN COULD SEE. THE 3 BEHIND THE MOTOR WERE ALL MELTED TOGETHER. THANK
YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP.
DAWN
thank you guys, i appreciate all of your help!
I did the theft re learn procedure, and everything is
working great now. If I have any more problems with it I'll replace the
ignition switch and cylinder. Thanks for your help!! Mario
Thanks so much. Your instructions were perfect. All fixed !
Thank you VERY much for your help. I appreciate it, Brian.
Thank you so much; it's such a relief to hear anyone with any ideas of what might be wrong. I felt it
was several things happening at once and confusing everyone. I'll take this to the shop tomorrow and
hopefully it will help us find some success! Thanks again, Kari
thanks so much for your responce . and i also told my husband you said thanks for his service. he
love's the corps. but the truck is running all it needed was a new fuel pump fuse 5.00 man i was so
mad when it cranked up. that was money down the drain. i think mechanics deserve it. oh and also
my husband does not work on vehicles well, he had another guy help him and that guy is a
mechainc. all my husband knows how to do is blow stuff up lol. thanks a lot for your help. God Bless
I e-mailed a question about how to remove the O2 sensor from
my 1997 venture exhaust. I received a courteous and helpful response
within 24 hours! Thanks so much for all your help.

Thank you so much! I will definitely try to see if this works...but just a quick question relating to this
issue:
what would have caused the gas needle to end up UNDER the empty pin?
Would it be caused by anything that related to the alternator that was fixed?
Thanks again!
Shab~
Hey thanks for the advise. It was pretty much right on the money. I guess when I pit the plug on the
icm it must have not been straight. So by tightining the bolt on the plug it backed out the 423 (white
wire) from the plug it was hard to see with it up under the fire wall. But with your info I was able to find
it. If not I was playing guessing games. I have driven it 200 miles now with no check engine light so I
am sure it is fixed now. The only problem left is the fact it burns spark plug wires like candy. If you
know how to fix that please advise but if not the 30 dollars I put was worth every penny. Hell I spent
200 alone on guessing games to fix it all I had to do was find this web sie. So thank you. It was my
plesure doing bisness with you.
Thank you so much for the information. I had not idea that that much damage was happening.
You were right, there was a short, draining the battery.
Checked the power door locks that were not working on drivers side. a
$20.00 fix. Thankx a bunch!
JK, You`re awsome! I couldnt find any blown fuses, but replaced the cruise control fuse that was
missing. I went through the steps in order of your email, and all functions are working again! I
disconected the battery before, but maybe in the wrong sequence? Thanks alot, I know who to turn to
for help now. Talk later, Trey - Austin, Texas
THANKS AGAIN -YOU GUYS ROCK, Paul
If you've given an old car to a teenager, you'd better bookmark greatautohelp.com. The story- the car
died in an intersection (of course), towed to our local mechanic (don't trust dealerships), had the
altenator and battery replaced. Since the battery was replaced the radio's anti-theft device 'locked' us
out and naturally, we didn't have the code. The dealership would get us back in for a fee equal to
almost half the car's value! Forget it! Enter greatautohelp.com. My son is now back on the road
blaring his ipod. Thank you JK!

My feedback is all positive. Your reply was very quick and to the point. My problems with the 1998 Olds
aurora were solved thanks to input from you.
I cannot find any chiltons available for reference on what I need more precisely and factory manuals
are way too expensive. I will be contacting you in the future for more answers to questions which will
lead me in the right direction you'll more than likely hear from me again.
Thanks so much, and you certainly did help me. I truly appreciate it.
Your answer gives me a ballpark range to work from.
thanks very much
guess I will have to bring it to the dealer
Thank you very much for your help. They said the mouse had been dead for quite a long time so I am
hoping it didn't have time to chew through much. I will probably see if I can take to a local mechanic
instead of the dealership this time to have it checked out. Again, thank you for your help! Have a nice
holiday weekend!
You were right on the money about those damaged wires ! The picture was perfect, thank so much.
you saved me alot of money ! will be back again if i need you. Thanks JK
Awsome advice. It's nice to know that even a tech that is having trouble diagnosing a problem has
some place he can go to bounce ideas and seek advice from other certified techs. Being a tech
myself I know that you/we can be greatly unappreciated.
True to it's name...Great auto help. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.
re- radio on LOC.
jk Thank you for the help, Greatautohelp.com was great, for what I would of paid at the factory (55.00)
jk did it for a mere 10.00 donation, well worth it, and it was done in less than 30 min.. awesome
web-site, thanx again...Bob
I replace the flasher on the weekend and that fixed the problem. Thanks for the diagram it was a big
help. I only lost a small amount skin on hands and pop the cover for the key switch to back seat when
I pulled the panel back. Great service you people have here.

Thanks so much for the fast response on my chevy suburban!
