Chevy S-10 Engine Misfire

Question:
My 2002 s-10 4 cyl 2wd. Problem is that it skips all the time. I cleaned the throttle body, changed a coil pack which helped considerably. When changing the coil pack the spark still showed a skip. I'm not sure of the next route to go. Everyone seems to have a different path. Some say control module. Another says there are other parts involved. Since its getting into a pretty expensive place any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Answer:
Well, there are many things that can cause misfires. You said you replaced an ignition coil and it helped allot. Look closely at the plug wires attached to that coil, and the other 2 wires. If the coil looked rusted, corroded, then odds are the plug wires are too.

Fuel injectors can also be a concern. Depending on mileage, you may be ready for a tune-up, unless you already have. Look closely at those plug wires. No odd electrical issues come to mind, so i would say it a basic plug wire, plug, the other coil, or injector.
