Chevy Silverado Headlights Went Out- Bulb Part Numbers

Question:
My headlight went out and i lost my car manual and the hood lever is broken so i cant get the hood pop. The only thing i need to know is the halogen light bulb number. I need to change it. I know its one of the little halogens I'm not sure which one and it could save me trouble of having to drive over to the garage and then driving to the hardware store to get the bulb and then driving back to the garage. Thank you.

Answer:
The low beam headlight is the common number 9006.
The high beam is a 9005.
These are the common Sylvania numbers and any parts store would have them. They are very inexpensive. You could also easily find them online.

Question:
1995 Chevy Silverado. Sometimes the headlights don't come on. Then when I wiggle the turn signal handle they come on. Sometimes they come and then go off.

Answer:
Hello. Not really sure how wiggling t-signals affects headlights. The headlight switch in the dash is a very common part to fail. You can pop that out, unplug it and may see burning or corrosion. You may even be able to smell burning in that switch. As i said, very common. Let me know what you find, thanks.

Visitor Reply:
O.K thanks I’ll replace the switch and let you know what happens.
