Have a 2001 L300
Has anyone replaced the illumination lamps for the heated seat switch with LED'S. If so what brand and part number did you use ?

most of the led's are soldered into the circuit board on most components now days. Have you take the switch apart and can see that the bulb is removable?

ok then, you should be able to take your switch down to an electrical supply place and have them look up a replacement light bulb. Any place that sells resistors, thermistors, and other parts for circuit boards. They may need to see the bulb and the circuit that it is used in.
Auto parts places don't sell parts for circuit boards. Is like the newer GM dash lights. they no longer are replaceable. they are soldered in. As are the stepper motors for all the gauges and tach and speedo. But if you get a rebuilt on new dash, you can unsolder the good light bulbs and stepper motors and save them for the next bad dash unit. I have found some bulbs and stepper motors by searching the internet but I don't know if you can find such a specific light bulb for your switch.
a new switch is about $40 from the dealer. I don't know how much money you will save by replacing the bulb if it becomes a problem to find one.

Re: L300 2001 Heated seat switch
Thanks for the suggestion.
I took voltage measurements on it last night and got the operating voltage. With this information I can select out an LED which will last longer than a bulb
