Yes, this is suppose to be for a 1997 2.0L.
But here is the problem- earlier you said the engine did not sound right, sounded like no compression. The noise is of course because the engine timing is off. Now, after you replace the belt and get it timed correctly, there is still a chance that when the belt and tensioner went bad, the valves hit the pistons and bent them. So, still no compression.

If that is the case, now you are talking about removing the cylinder head and either replacing the valves or the cylinder hed itself.

Terry Auto,I replaced Tbelt & tentioner,put all back together...before I said "it dosn't Sound normal" when spin over w/key;Now it Sounds normal when spins over w/key,but still wont run???got fire/fule?? any ideas?? thanks...tim
