ok, what does that mean? stays on full, stays on empty, stays on one spot, never know where it's going to be? or just doesn't seem accurate?

ok, to test your fuel gauge you need to disconnect the fuel tank sending unit. turn your key to the run or on position and see if the gauge goes to full. If it goes to full replace the fuel tank sending unit.
