I replaced the rear brakes and now they smoking and get extremely hot going no further than a couple city blocks and back. With the wheel off, my rotor wiggles. Don't know if that's normal. I've changed the caliper poison too. It's there a video anywhere I can watch?
Thanks

Re: 99 oldsmobile bravada
Can you tell me step by step what you did to your brakes? did you do the rear disc pad replacement or did you do the rear parking brake shoe replacement, or both? they shouldn't smoke when you are done.
The brake rotors are just laying over the top of your axle hub so yes, they can move in and out while the wheel is off. Tightening (torque to 95 ft/lb) the wheel studs locks the wheel and rotor to the hub.
