1999 Alero Radio Antenna Location

Unread post by cjadams » Fri Jan 29, 2010 3:33 pm

Radio was working fine, now just a couple stations come in sometimes. CD player still works fine. I have checked fuses, looked for loose wires to no avail. Can't find where an antenna may be located, not external or internal. What should I do? Thank You, CJ 8-)

The antenna is part of the rear defogger grid.
May have a broken line or 2 in the grid.
Would need a test light connected to ground and go along the grid. The light will be bright on one end, and slowly get dim toward the other end of a good line. This is with the rear defroster on.
Also could be a problem with the antenna / def module. Have had a seferal of these burn ip, and burn the connectors.
There is also an antenna intermediate cable under teh pasenger dash. It may be loose.
