Camshaft position sensor
Where is the camshaft position sensor located on a 1997 Grand Prix GT 3.8L? How hard is it to replace? And any tips?
Re: Camshaft position sensor
right side of the engine just above the crankshaft pulley.
it's should be pretty simple to change. Unplug the sensor harness connector. remove the bolt. sensor comes off. put the new sensor in and torque the bolt to 35 t0 53 INCH-pounds. NOT Foot-pounds. plug the harness back on and your done. Make sure the car is off and the key is not on. It is recommended to remove your ground cable from the battery but that may be a little over kill.
