DTC Code C0035 2002 Pontiac grand Prix

Unread post by mjscjs0712 » Wed Jan 30, 2013 12:52 pm

I have a 2002 pontiac grand prix gtp supercharger. My ABS & TCS lights are on. I received a code of C0035. What does that mean. What parts would I need to get to fix this issue.

The C0035 code is for the left front wheel speed sensor. It is setting due to a problem reading the wheel speed signal from the hub. Normally this requires a hub bearing replacement, as the sensor is built into the hub assembly. Sometimes, though, you can have a wiring issue going to the hub. Inspect the harness from the connector back towards the frame and check for any corrosion and/or wear and tear. Replace as necessary.

Would I be best likely to purchase this, front Wheel Hub Assembly or a wiring harness. I am in no way a tech or know much bout cars.

Either way I would highly recommend genuine GM parts. They are more expensive, but you won't have to worry about repeated replacement as you do with cheaper aftermarket parts. If you're uncomfortable doing a repair like this yourself, pretty much any shop can do it, but I'd still suggest you use GM parts.

Of course after checking everything out to determine which part you do in fact need.
