I replaced the window regulator on my LeSabre 2 years ago and now it and two more have failed. My wife likes to use the power windows in the winter and it is rough on them but they should not all fail. If I buy standard replacements should I expect failures every few years?
I have found some much cheaper than others I assume they are all made in the same factories with similar durablity.
Is there a source for a better grade even if it costs a little more? Is GM having a problem with this?

Re: window regulators
No, the factory parts should not wear out that fast.
Only time i have run into this is I got one bad regulator, that only lasted a few weeks.
The window may be out of alignment causing extra stress on the regulator.
May be binding on the front or rear vertical track. With window glass disconnected form the regulator, window shlould slide up and down easliy.
