Vehicle make/model chevrolet corsica Year = 1995 Mileage = 84,000 Engine size = 3.1 dash lights = low coolant work done to repair = added coolant tip/donation no = buttonId tech = j/k question = my car is over heating i found it was leaking right next to the firewall more towards the passenger side, i'm wondering if its the heating core and if its a fairly easy do it yourself job. thanks i hope you can help!
JK: Yes, very possible the heater core, or the hoses at the firewall going into the heater core. From underhieth car you can look in the evaporator drain to see if coolant coing out of there. Tat would indicate a leaking core. Also coolant on the pass. carpet. Best way is to check is to get it pressure tested. Heater core on this car is a little difficult to remove. Working on your back, going from side to side under dash. Rt., left, center underdash panels, duct work, need to be removed to gain access to the core.
