GM Computer codes = no

GM tech = JK
question = Hello . When the key is turn off the radio continues to stay on ,
even after the key is removed . Would this be an issue with the ingnition
switch or perhaps the door switch ? Thank you for your time .
This sounds like normal operation. This is called Retained accessory power (RAP).
It keeps the interior lights, radio, wipers powered up for 10 minutes, or until door is
opened.
If the radio still stays on when the door is opened after the key is out, THEN there
is a problem.
May be a problem with the door jam switch, or the Body Control Module (BCM)
keeping the system powered up, or possibly a sticking RAP relay.
