|What makes the ignition stop turning after removing the factory stereo the
replacing it with the same stereo.
|Replacing the radio would have nothing to do with
the ignition cylinder not turning. Unless something
got caught in the cylinder, which is highly unlikely.
Sounds like just a coincidence. Try a different key,
spray WD-40 in ignition, wiggle it and try to work it
free. Then the cylinder may need to be replaced.
|dear kk my 2004 Chevy Impala wont start at times i turn the ignition on wait 10
minutes then it's ok for maybe a week. I am unclear on step 2 and 3 for now the
light is not flashing. Please explain how to repeat the steps.
|i have replaced the ignition cylinder on my 2002 impala, the car will crank but the
security stays on. What do i have to do to get it turned off?

will not start again until repaired.
|Is this the same for a 2000 Chevy Cavalier, car start goes dead in two seconds
alarm light flashes for 3 seconds then stays on
|The ignition cylinder can lock up if you leave the key in while you're taking the
dashboard off. The dashboard will get hung on the key and bend the pins in the
cylinder and you will have to replace the ignition cylinder.
