Chevy Silverado ABS Code C0265

Question:
Brake are working fine. Anti lock brake motor is working. I have a red brake light on plus anti lock light on. Code is CO265. Could you send Me wiring diagram. All so where is the EBCM relay located. Thanks. 2001 Chevy 1500 pickup 4x4. 5.3L v8. Anti lock & red brake light. codes = C0265.

Answer:
The ABS relay is internal to the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) and is not replaceable alone. There is a service bulletin to repair a poor ground wire that may fix this code. If that is not the problem, then some diag of the EBCM will need to be done to determine if the EBCM is faulty, the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) is bad, or a wiring problem.

Problem with my = 1999 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 Engine size = 5.7 Repair work done prior = brakes. Question = my 3rd and overdrive just quit today,no noise or sounds. 1st and 2nd seem ok. Added 1/2 qt fluid but the fluid was in the x marks. It has kicked hard from 1st to 2nd since it was a couple yrs old but may go months between times. Help if possible, thank you

Answer:
Get the computer scanned for codes. If there are any transmission codes for shift solenoids, would need to diagnose the shift solenoids and wiring. If no codes, then an internal part inside the transmission had failed and it would need to come out and be disassembled to find the fault.

Question:
before coming to a complete stop I can hear the anti lock noise ,the brake pedal will get hard and truck will roll on or keep going. 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4.

Answer:
This sounds like a common problem of a bad front wheel speed sensor or sensor wiring. What happens is that one of the sensor signals drops off while the others are fine. This causes the ABS brakes to activate. That is the feeling you are describing. To be sure you would have to have a scanner on the computer and look at speed sensor signals to determine which one is bad. Best is to replace the hub bearing as it comes with the sensor and wiring.
