2000 Chevy Cavalier

Engine size = Small 4 Cyl
tech = JK
question = This may be a stupid question but I'm stuck. The rear drum
brakes in my wifes 2000
Chevy Cavalier are worn out and have locked. It
sits in a parking lot about a mile from home. How can I unlock the rear
wheels just long enough to drive it home???

JK:
The rear drums should not be locked up unless the rear brakes have been
grinding badly for quite some time. Aside from removing the drums and repairing
the brakes where it is, make sure the parking brake is not on. It is possible that the
parking brake was applied, and the cables ae stuck. Try and grab a hold of the
park brake cables just behind the drum and pull, tug, yank on them. That may free
up a stuck cable.
